Top Fantasy Football Streaming Tight Ends for Week 6

The fantasy tight end position appears to be really strong at the top this season, but once we get beyond the elite producers at the position, we start to see a ton of variance. With so little consistency, there aren't many players that you should consider locks as weekly starters. Instead you can find a big edge by combing the waiver wire for the TEs with the best matchups to throw into your starting lineup each week.
These three tight ends, all owned in fewer than 50 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Football leagues, are the top streaming options for Week 6.
3. Chris Herndon, New York Jets (30% Owned)
Chris Herndon is back from suspension and will make his 2019 debut against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6. The New York Jets are clearly set on giving serious reps to their tight ends, and through five weeks no TE has played a higher percentage of their team's snaps than Ryan Griffin. Herndon should have no trouble supplanting the journeyman after showing promising receiving chops as a rookie in 2018 (39 receptions, 502 yards, four TDs), and Herndon's value as a streaming option also includes the potential that he could bring some long-term value at the position for you as well, making him a top waiver wire add in Week 6.
2. Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Rams (12% Owned)
Gerald Everett gets a brutal matchup with the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6, but his recent numbers still make him difficult to ignore. Between Weeks 5 and 6 he ranks first among TEs with 36.0 PPR points, while also sitting second in both targets (19) and receptions (12). This matchup is a definite downgrade, but that kind of volume keeps him in play if you're in a pinch.
1. Vernon Davis, Washington Redskins (14% Owned)
Vernon Davis missed Week 5's game with a concussion, but if he's back on Sunday, then he will find himself in an incredible spot against the Miami Dolphins. Davis has at least four targets in all four of his games this year, so we can expect him to get some reasonable usage, and that's all you need for a player to offer huge upside against Miami, who has allowed the eighth most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends and the most points per game to opposing offenses overall. If Davis is out, Jeremy Sprinkle will be a viable option instead, after notching three targets and playing 46 percent of the team's offensive snaps with Davis sidelined in Week 5.
