Todd Gurley Offers Hilarious Comparison Between Matt Ryan and Jared Goff
By Max Staley
Matt Ryan and Jared Goff get compared quite often. Both are viewed as above-average passers, both lost their lone Super Bowl appearance to the New England Patriots, and both have had one truly standout season while being coached by an innovative, offensive guru.
But the comparison goes even deeper than that. Just take it from Todd Gurley, who has played with both quarterbacks.
Well, he's certainly not wrong. Ryan is currently playing out a 5-year, $150 million deal, while Goff is in the midst of a 4-year, $134 million contract.
And once again, the two are proving to be pretty similar. Goff has thrown 13 touchdowns to 6 interceptions while averaging 7.6 yards per attempt with a passer rating of 94.6, while Ryan has tossed 15 TDs to 5 INTs while averaging 7.8 yards per attempt for a passer rating of 99.0 in the 2020 season.
If they keep those numbers up, they'll both be a whole lot richer the next time their contracts are up.
