Here's How the Tennessee Titans Can Clinch a Playoff Spot in Week 15

The Tennessee Titans have opened this season with a 9-4 record, currently in a tie with the Indianapolis Colts atop the AFC South. Tennessee could win their first division title since 2008 if they finish strong down the home stretch of the season.

In Week 15, the Titans have a chance to clinch a spot in the NFL Playoffs. With a win against the Detroit Lions, there are three different scenarios where Tennessee punches their ticket to the postseason.

Titans Playoff Scenarios

In Scenario 1, the Titans can clinch their playoff spot with a win and a Baltimore Ravens loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In Scenario 2, the Titans must win, plus the Las Vegas Raiders must lose or draw against the Los Angeles Chargers, plus the Miami Dolphins must lose against the New England Patriots, plus the Cleveland Browns must win or tie against the New York Giants.

Finally, the Titans can also clinch a playoff spot if they win, plus the Raiders lose or draw against the Chargers, plus the Dolphins lose against the Patriots, plus Tennessee or Las Vegas earn the strength of victory tiebreaker over Miami. Strength of victory measures the combined winning percentage of opponents a team has beaten during the season.

Obviously, the last two scenarios are a bit more complicated than the first, requiring help from a number of teams. But with the Jaguars only winning one game this season, a Ravens loss isn't something to bank on either.

Tennessee just needs to focus on winning against the Lions and let the pieces fall where they may in Week 15. The Titans are 10.5-point favorites in that matchup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
