Tigers News: Detroit Gets Bad Isaac Paredes Injury Update

The Detroit Tigers have been dealing with several injuries as they start the second half of their season. Among them is infielder Isaac Paredes, who's missed the last two games with a sore hip.
It turns out the hip is actually strained, and he'll require a stint on the injured list.
Tigers have placed Isaac Paredes on the 10-day IL (retroactive to July 20) with a right hip strain.

Paredes' injury comes at an unfortunate time with ailments piling up for Detroit. Starting second baseman Niko Goodrum is already on the IL, and Paredes' injury leaves the infield even more short-handed.
Paredes has played in 14 games for the Tigers this season. He's slashing .256/.340/.410 across 39 at-bats while recording 1 home run and 4 RBI.
