While hosting the FIFA Women's World Cup in your backyard certainly comes with an advantage, any team that sets a new World Cup record for biggest margin of victory in its debut game is bound to shake something up.
After France and USA opened as the betting favorites with the same odds to win the 2019 Women's World Cup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, Team USA has since built a healthy lead ahead of the French atop the odds.

Even though Germany (+750) proved the first team to win three games, including a perfect 3-0-0 Group Stage record, the Germans' odds to win the 2019 World Cup remain behind USA (+185), France (+340) and England (+650).
With both France (+340) and USA (+185) both yet to play their third matches of the Group Stage, the French opened this Wednesday as -20000 favorites to win Group A and Americans -1350 favorites to win Group F.

After annihilating Thailand, 13-0, and then getting the best of Chile, 3-0, USA turns its attention toward Sweden in its final Group Stage matchup on Thursday, June 20 at 3 p.m. EST.
If the Americans defeat or tie the Swedes in that match, USA would win Group F and earn a date with Spain in the single-elimination Round of 16.
