Despite missing out on the postseason, the 2022 NFL season was largely a success for the Pittsbugh Steelers. Pittsburgh finished with another winning record under head coach Mike Tomlin and helped rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett start to rope in control of the offense.

It was also another solid campaign for edge rusher T.J. Watt, who racked up 5.5 sacks and 39 combined tackles despite only suiting up in 10 games. Watt was named to his fifth Pro Bowl as a result.

But, on Friday, Watt made a big announcement regarding his Pro Bowl status.

According to insider Mark Kaboly, Watt dropped out of the Pro Bowl because of an injury. Kaboly further explained this is less about injury and more about Watt "letting his body heal from the season."

Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano has been selected to takesWatt's place.

The goal is to have Watt 100% in 2023. He's been dominant during his past two fully healthy campaigns. In 2020 and 2021, Watt racked up an insane 37.5 sacks along with 91 solo tackles.
