The Pittsburgh Steelers have always had an identity as a run-first offense. Well, until the 2020 season, when the running game completely fell apart. In fact, Pittsburgh had the league's third-worst rushing attack by DVOA.

While it's unfair to put all of the blame on James Conner, it doesn't appear as if he'll be back with the Steelers in 2021.

With that in mind, here are three players Pittsburgh can target to replace Conner in 2021.

1. Najee Harris, Alabama Crimson Tide

Najee Harris feels like a classic Steelers' running back. He's a powerful, hard-nose RB who ran through SEC defenders with ease. Drafting Harris would bring an old-school feel back to Pittsburgh. He's expected to come off the board in the second or third round, so the Steelers should have the chance to draft him.

2. Mark Ingram, Baltimore Ravens

Another former Crimson Tide back, the Baltimore Ravens released Mark Ingram this offseason. While he was coming off a down year in 2020, Ingram was phenomenal in 2019. He racked up 1,000 yards and 10 TDs on the ground that season. But the down year could mean Ingram comes at a significant discount. If he's looking to stay in the AFC North, Pittsburgh could be a great landing spot for the former Heisman Trophy winner.

3. Tevin Coleman, San Francisco 49ers

Tevin Coleman has all the talent in the world, but he just hasn't been able to stay on the field. He has only played one full 16-game season in his NFL career and missed eight games this past year. He'd bring a new element to the Steelers' backfield thanks to his legit home-run hitting speed, and his recent injuries should mean he comes at a huge discount.
