Here's Every Quarterback the Steelers Have Been Linked to in Offseason Rumors So Far

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a massive hole to fill at quarterback following Ben Roethlisberger's retirement. Various rumors regarding the NFL Draft, free agency and trades have already linked the Steelers to several QBs already, so it appears they'll explore every avenue ahead of the 2022 campaign.
Steelers QB Rumors
Here's everything you need to know about quarterback rumors involving Pittsburgh so far.
Steelers QB 2022
The Steelers haven't decided yet on who will be their starter in 2022. Mason Rudolph, a third-round pick in 2018, is still under contract with the team and viewed as one option.
#Steelers GM Kevin Colbert has no bombshells when it comes to the QB position. Says, “If we started a season today, Mason would be our starter.” Reminds us that Mason Rudolph is 5-4-1 in his first four years here in Pittsburgh and says he’s “excited to see what’s next” for him.

Steelers Free Agency Rumors 2022
Pittsburgh has been linked to several quarterbacks ahead of free agency, which is set to begin on March 14.
One report from Pro Football Network's Tony Pauline says the team has three FA targets in mind: Mitch Trubisky, Teddy Bridgewater and Jameis Winston.

It also appears the Steelers want to retain Dwayne Haskins, who was No. 3 on the depth chart this past season. The 2019 first-round pick by Washington could hit free agency this offseason, but Pittsburgh can place a tender on him, which gives them a chance to match an offer he receives.
The Steelers have indicated to Dwayne Haskins that they plan to place a restricted free agent tender on him for 2022, per source, and Haskins expects that to be an original-round tender, paying in range of $2.5 million. Another suggestion Haskins is in QB mix in Pittsburgh.

Steelers Draft Rumors 2022
The Steelers haven't been shy about their interest in draft prospects as well, and they're viewed around the league as one team who could take a top QB early on.
Pittsburgh's infatuation with Liberty quarterback Malik Willis is described as "a badly kept secret."

The team also wasted no time and spoke with Ole Miss QB Matt Corral at this week's draft combine. Corral has even campaigned to be drafted by the Steelers, saying he'd embrace the responsibility that comes with taking over from Roethlisberger.

Steelers Trade Rumors
Then there's the possibility of the team swinging a trade for a big-name QB this offseason.
Perhaps the most interesting trade candidate is Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is still deciding on his future with his current team.
.@Realrclark25 is interested in seeing Aaron Rodgers join the Steelers ?

Another star who could end up on a new team is Rusell Wilson. ESPN analyst and former NFL QB Tim Hasselbeck has predicted Wilson will end up being the Steelers' starter in 2022.
There's also disgruntled Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson, who's made it known he wants to move on from the organization. Pittsburgh has been thought of as a Watson landing spot since he first made his trade request, though NFL insider Ian Rapoport recently said he doesn't think the Steelers will meet Houston's substantial asking price.
Rap says on The Pat McAfee Show that Pittsburgh is a great spot for Deshaun Watson but doesn’t think the Steelers will pay the price to acquire him.

Derek Carr presents another veteran target for the Steelers. ProFootballFocus predicted the Steelers trading for the QB in a recent mock draft, though the Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly hoping to secure an extension with Carr this offseason.

Perhaps the most realistic trade target is Jimmy Garoppolo, whose tenure with the San Francisco 49ers appears at its end. Pittsburgh is "highly intrigued" by Garoppolo, per insider Jordan Schultz.

Pittsburgh OC Matt Canada wants to deploy RPO - not dissimilar 2 the offense Garrappolo ran with the #Niners.
Ron Rivera not only believes his team can win now, but has over $30M in cap as well.
The Steelers' solution at QB will be one of the biggest stories of the offseason as this title contender looks to get back on track in 2022.
