Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth suffered a knee injury in the team's Week 18 game against the Cleveland Browns. There was some worry about how extensive the issue was, but the prognosis is good as of Monday morning.
Pat Freiermuth Injury Update
While there was concern that Freiermuth's knee would require surgery, Mark Kaboly from The Athletic is reporting that the young tight end won't require a procedure.
Freiermuth broke out in his second season, becoming a go-to target for rookie QB Kenny Pickett. Freiermuth had 63 catches for 732 yards and two touchdowns this season, as the Steelers finished with yet another winning record, despite missing the playoffs.
Pittsburgh has a lot of things to address this offseason, and that will start with free agency, followed by the NFL Draft, where the Steelers own the 17th pick of the first round.
