The 2022 MLB Playoffs kicked off with a ferocious set of games over the weekend and four teams punched their tickets to the divisional round. This includes the 6-seed Philadelphia Phillies, who upset the 3-seed St. Louis Cardinals and earned a date with the 2-seed Atlanta Braves in the NLDS.
With an NL East battle officially in place, the league announced when first pitch will be throughout the first couple of Phillies-Braves games.
Game 1 of this series will start at 1:07 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The two sides meet against on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 4:35 p.m. ET. Both of these first two contests go down at Truist Park in Atlanta, GA.
Games 3-5 do no yet have official first pitch times, but the specific dates have already been decided. The series will move to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA for Games 3 and 4 (if necessary). If a winner-take-all Game 5 is required, the two teams will head back to Atlanta.
Game 3: Friday, Oct. 14 @ Citizens Bank Park
Game 4: Saturday, Oct. 15 @ Citizens Bank Park*if necessary
Game 5: Sunday, Oct. 16 @ Truist Park*if necessary
Playing 19 times throughout the regular season, these NL East foes are very familiar with one another. Atlanta took the season series, 11-8, but the run differential paints and even closer affair. Philadelphia scored 85 runs to the Braves' 88 figure.
Current MLB playoff odds on FanDuel Sportsbook favor the Braves at -186 to defeat the Phillies, who are +158 underdogs.
