With a 4-8 record entering Week 14, it isn't difficult to see how the 2021 NFL season has been a disaster for the Seattle Seahawks. Now, rumors have emerged about quarterback Russell Wilson potentially waiving his no-trade clause if Seattle opts for a rebuild.

Fortunately for Seahawks fans, Wilson has no intentions of going anywhere — regardless of the team's direction. In fact, he said he wants to play "20 years" for the organization.

Wilson's current contract runs through the 2023 NFL season.

Russell Wilson Trade Rumors

Earlier this week, it was reported that Wilson would consider a trade to the New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos or New York Giants in the offseason. The seven-time Pro Bowler simply told reporters that the situation was a "non-story."

"Hopefully I get to play [in Seattle] for 20 years in my career. Will that happen? I don't know, but that's my prayer, that's my hope."

Russell Wilson

It's been a rough year for Wilson. A finger injury has held him to just nine games played this year. He's thrown 2,042 passing yards during that span for 14 touchdowns and four interceptions, which shows that he's operating at lesser firepower than before.

Granted, Seattle's shortcomings aren't his fault. The Seahawks still haven't really improved their offensive line, which has led to the QB getting sacked on 9.1% of his passing attempts.

Now, FanDuel Sportsbook is favoring the Seahawks to miss the playoffs at -5000 odds. At least Seattle fans can cheer about the fact that their franchise quarterback is willing to stick with them through thick and thin.
