With the U.S. Open teeing off this morning at Pebble Beach, the early leader is Scott Piercy. The American is 5-under through seven holes, two shots ahead of Jon Rahm at 3-under par.

While some might consider Piercy a sleeper, the oddsmakers at FanDuel Sportsbook still have him (as of 12 p.m. on Thursday) with 38-to-1 odds to win the tournament.

Most of the top names in the field have yet to tee off, and that includes the likes of Tiger Woods and world No. 1 Brooks Koepka.

With lots of golf left to be played, these odds will surely shift as we head into the weekend. We will update this story with Piercy's odds as he continues his play.

UPDATE: Piercy double bogeyed the 8th hole and is now tied for the lead at 3-under. His odds remain +3800 on FanDuel Sportsbook.
