Saints Get Bad News About Michael Thomas Heading Into Week 8 Matchup Against the Bears

Michael Thomas has been virtually non-existent for the New Orleans Saints this season. Heading into 2020, most people considered Thomas to be the best wide receiver in the NFL, playing in one of the most high-powered offenses.
However, after sustaining a Week 1 high ankle sprain, Thomas has yet to see the field since. In this time he has also been sidelined for a hamstring injury and team discipline.
While initially there was some hope that Thomas would be able to return to the field for the Saints Week 8 matchup, those plans have officially been thwarted.

The Saints were already thin at wide receiver and will now have to travel to Chicago without three of their top-four wideouts. Emmanuel Sanders remains on the COVID reserve list and Marquez Callaway has also been ruled out for Week 8 along with Thomas.
The hope for the Saints and their fans is that Thomas can find his way back onto the field fully healthy in Week 9 when they take on Tom Brady and the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay.
