The Baltimore Ravens entered this offseason with a need to upgrade their wide receiver group and a prime chance to do so given the available talent on the market. Baltimore's run-heavy offense ultimately costed them the chance to add a top wideout, though, making them settle for Sammy Watkins as their top WR signing.

Fans aren't thrilled with the lack of additions given how bad the passing game was in 2020. GM Brian DeCosta has heard the criticism and isn't thrilled with that either.

DeCosta says he's "insulted" by what he thinks is fans dismissing the receiving options on the roster. However, the general consensus is that those options weren't properly utilized in 2020, and without a WR1 addition this offseason, it hard to see things being different this year.

DeCosta may be betting on the likes of Marquise Brown, Miles Boykin, Devin Duvernay and James Proche II to step up alongside Watkins. The GM could snag a top receiver in the first round of the draft, but his comments indicate he's content with the group in place.

That's not what fans want to hear after this offense placed dead-last in passing yards last season despite having an MVP quarterback in Lamar Jackson.
