The Baltimore Ravens had a scare ahead of their Wild Card Round game this weekend when cornerback Brandon Stephens got so ill that he had to be taken to the hospital.
Luckily, after gonig through some testing and treatment, Stephens seems to be on the mend. The team released a statement detailing the situation, letting everyone know that Stephens was back in Baltimore and feeling good.
Anytime you have an illness that turns into a need for a hospital visit it can be shocking and scary, but luckily it seems like Stephens got the care he needed in time to get him back on the road to a quick recovery.
Of course, Stephens will miss this weekend's game against the Bengals, where the Ravens were already facing an uphill battle with starting quarterback Lamar Jackson expected to remain out.
The Ravens are currently 8.5-point road underdogs against the Bengals in the opening round of the playoffs on Sunday, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
