Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has been busy filling out of his coaching staff this offseason after several departures. Hopefully the new voices around the team will help this squad bounce back swiftly after missing the playoffs for the first time since the 2017 campaign last season.

Baltimore announced the hiring of several coaches on Wednesday, and the group includes a former Ravens starter.

Zach Orr Ravens Coach

Zach Orr has been hired as the team's new inside linebackers coach. It's a position here's more than qualified for after starting 15 games at right ILB for Baltimore during the 2016 season.

That was Orr's best year of his career, racking up 5 passes defended, 3 INTs and 2 fumble recoveries.

Then tragedy struck as Orr was forced to retire due to the discovery of a rare spinal condition. It left openings in one of his upper vertebrae since it didn't fully form and put him at risk of severe injury or even death.

Ravens' doctors discovered the condition after Orr was injured near the end of the 2016 campaign, and he decided to walk away with his good health still in order. Now he gets to return to Baltimore and hopefully play a key role in improving a defense decimated by injuries in 2021.
