Rashard Higgins Reveals How Browns Beat Out Other Offers in Free Agency

Wide receiver Rashard Higgins was a key contributor for the Cleveland Browns' offense last season, especially with the loss of Odell Beckham Jr. Enterting free agency, Cleveland didn't seem to budge on its offer to the wideout, but the two sides eventually agreed to a one-year deal.
Higgins revealed insight into the bidding for his services, and how the Browns ultimately won out.
BTW, Rashard Higgins confirmed Browns sweetened the pot with more bonus $$ while he was leaving other offers on the table to return.

Higgins says Cleveland was able to up its bonus money, which played a factor in him taking the deal. That upfront money appealed to him despite having better offers on the table, showing how serious his interest was in a return.
Higgins bounced back in a huge way in 2020, registering 37 catches for 599 yards (career-high) and 4 TDs (tied for a career-high). His 16.2 yards per reception last season showcased his true deep threat status, with an average depth of target of 14.1 yards.
The Higgins signing solidifies the Browns' receiving corps surrounding Baker Mayfield heading into 2021, as the hopeful contenders boast a deadly trio composed of Beckham, Higgins and Jarvis Landry.
