Following a Super Bowl appearance in 2018, the past two seasons have been disappointing for the Los Angeles Rams. Los Angeles finished with a 10-6 overall record last year but this team is fired up heading into 2021, especially with the addition of Matthew Stafford at quarterback.

Despite the high hopes for the 2021 campaign, one NFL insider believes the Rams could be screwed by the NFL schedule next year.

According to ESPN's Mike Clay, the Rams own the fourth-most difficult schedule in the entire league next season. While the order of games has not been set, this projection is based on the current construction of the league's yearly schedule and the opponents Los Angeles will face are already known.

Rams Schedule 2021

Clay used known opponents and the current construction of league rosters to come up with his strength of schedule projection. The order of games may be random but we already know which opponents Los Angeles will square off against. These opponents hail from the tough NFC West, NFC North and AFC South divisions.

Los Angeles owned the league's best defense last season, allowing only 281.9 defensive yards per game. On the other side of the football, the offense struggled by its own terms. In 2018, Los Angeles had the best offense in the entire NFC. With struggles and injuries at quarterback, the Rams fell to the league's 11th-best offense last year in terms of yards per game.

Stafford is hopeful to lead this offense back to its Super Bowl form. He's thrown for 4,000-plus yards in seven of his 12 seasons with the Detroit Lions.

As it stands, FanDuel Sportsbook is giving the Rams +1300 odds to win the Super Bowl.
