The Las Vegas Raiders pushed the Kansas City Chiefs to the brink on Sunday night, falling in the final minute. Looking to bounce back with a win, the Raiders have a matchup against the struggling Atlanta Falcons in Week 12.
However, oddsmakers only have the Raiders as 3-point favorites against Atlanta, which doesn't do the Raiders justice.
The fact that Las Vegas is only favored by a field goal is purely disrespectful given the differences between the Raiders and Falcons coming into this matchup.
Las Vegas just went the distance with one of the NFL's best teams, and they would've earned the upset win if not for some defensive failures in the final two minutes. Atlanta, meanwhile, is coming off of miserable performance against the New Orleans Saints, who were starting a new QB in Taysom Hill. The Falcons couldn't contain Hill on the ground and had nothing going on offense.
The Raiders' weapons should feast against Atlanta. Running back Josh Jacobs has racked up 755 yards (4th most this season) and 9 rushing TDs (tied for 3rd) for Las Vegas and will get the chance to run all over an Atlanta defense that just allowed Hill to rush for two TDs in Week 11. The Falcons are also giving up the second-most passing yards per game (300.3) this season, which should bode well for Derek Carr and deep threat Nelson Agholor.
Atlanta's offense truly struggled against New Orleans with wideout Julio Jones dealing with a hamstring injury, only managing 196 passing yards. Jones is considered questionable for Sunday's matchup. Even if he is available, a possibly limited Jones won't be able to solve the Falcons' offensive problems.
The Raiders are primed to shake off their close loss to the Chiefs with a blowout against Atlanta on Sunday.
