The Peach Bowl has been played since 1968. It has featured teams from the CFP conference since 2014.
Pittsburgh has never appeared in this bowl game. They defeated Eastern Michigan, 34-30, in the 2019 Quick Lane Bowl, their last bowl game appearance.
Michigan State has also never appeared in this bowl game. They defeated Wake Forest, 27-21, in the 2019 Pinstripe Bowl, their last bowl game appearance.
