The Green Bay Packers wide receiver corps took a major hit this offseason following the trade of Davante Adams. Fans are anxious to find find out how the Packers will replace the All-Pro talent given the limited options remaining in free agency.

A big-name trade is one way to land an Adams replacement, and a team legend is hinting at a potential deal in the cards.

Hall of Fame defensive back LeRoy Butler stated on Twitter recently that the Packers are "exploring every option" to "replace 17." Butler further added to the intrigue by saying the target might be someone "you would never guess" is available.

Butler's comments have obviously stirred fans into a frenzy as they wonder who could end up wearing the Green and Gold. The fact that it could be a player who's not being actively shopped means Green Bay must be trying to swing for the fences and land a potential cornerstone to replace Adams.

The target will likely remain a mystery unless something comes to fruition. It could be a rising talent like D.K. Metcalf, or an established veteran like Keenan Allen.

The return from the Adams trade puts this team in great position to pursue a wide variety of receivers. Hopefully the Packers can make something happen this offseason to get a true No. 1 wideout.
