While many college football fans have started tuning out of the 2019-20 bowl season with most of the major games outside of the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship already in the books, at least one sports bettor is still locked in on this year's Famous Idaho Potato Bowl between the Ohio Bobcats and Nevada Wolf Pack.
Ohio vs Nevada Spread
When the 2020 Idaho Potato Bowl spread was first released by FanDuel Sportsbook on Sunday, Dec. 8, Ohio opened as a 6.5-point favorite. Fast forward a few weeks to 10:33 a.m. EST on Friday, Jan. 1 (the morning of the game) and the Bobcats had moved by just a single point to 7.5-point favorites, according to oddsFire. However, less than three full hours later, Ohio had climbed all the way to a whopping 10-point favorite at 1:13 p.m. EST this afternoon.
At the time this article was written (approximately 2 p.m. EST), Ohio had been bet back down to a 9.5-point (-115) favorite over the Wolf Pack for Friday's 2020 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl kickoff at 3:30 p.m. EST.
Watching a football game's spread move by a few points over a lengthier period of time is nothing new in the world of sports gambling, but witnessing a game's spread bounce by more than 3.0 points in either direction in a matter of hours is rather unique.
