Week 3 of the NFL season is loaded with great matchups, including a battle between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders. Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz is facing his old team for the first time since being traded and Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is using every resource to gain an advantage.

Sirianni explained to reporters on Wednesday that he doesn't want to "leave a stone unturned" and is "looking for information." That shouldn't come as a major shock considering a ton of people in the Eagles organization are familiar with Wentz and his play. Asking about the QB can't hurt right now.

"We do have resources in this building that know Carson, in some of the guys that played with him, some of the guys who have been here and coached him, and in the front office as well."

Nick Siranni on prepping to face Wentz

Wentz departed Philly with a 35-32-1 record and threw 113 touchdowns versus 50 interceptions across five seasons. He looked like a MVP candidate in 2017 before a torn ACL ended his season early. That was when Nick Foles stepped in and guided the Eagles to their first Super Bowl victory.

The Commanders are 1-1 under Wentz's leadership this year and looking to make a push for their second playoff appearance in three years. The 29-year-old has completed 65.5% of his pass attempts for 650 yards and a league-high 7 touchdowns while also throwing 3 interceptions.

Eagles vs Commanders Week 3 Odds

Coming off their big Monday Night Football win over the Minnesota Vikings, the Eagles enter Sunday's NFC East clash as 6.5-point road favorites with -290 moneyline odds, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds. Avoiding an upset at FedEx Field is the top priority for Philly as they try to remain undefeated.
