The Cleveland Browns running back depth chart continues to take hits and it's showing up with big fantasy football implications.

Nick Chubb COVID Update

On Tuesday, Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton both tested positive for COVID-19. This immediately calls their Week 10 status into question, although both players are vaccinated.

D’Ernest Johnson Fantasy Outlook

D’Ernest Johnson will be the huge beneficiary if one, or both, running backs can't go against the New England Patriots in Week 10. Chubb's status is the more important indicator of Johnson's fantasy outlook.

Kareem Hunt also remains sidelined with a calf injury and this backfield could be solely Johnson's on Sunday.

Johnson started one game (Week 7) in Chubb and Hunt's absence and absolutely tore it up. He recorded 146 rushing yards and 1 TD while finishing as RB4 in PPR leagues.

Fantasy managers should immediately target Johnson on the waiver wire, especially if you already roster Chubb or have an extra spot on the bench. The third-year pro could be in line for top-12 numbers if Chubb is unable to play in Week 10.
