NFL Insider Details How Baker Mayfield Can Expedite Browns Trade

We're nearly two months into June and Baker Mayfield is still a member of the Cleveland Browns. The trade market hasn't been there for him, whether that's due to his $18.85 million cap hit or potential suitors waiting to see if the Browns cut him.
Regardless, it's a situation that both sides would like to be done with sooner than later. Fortunately for the veteran quarterback, an NFL insider has an idea as to how Mayfield can expedite a trade out of Cleveland.

Baker Mayfield Trade Rumors
ESPN’s Dan Graziano reported on Friday that one way that Mayfield could speed up a trade is by showing up to practice — whether that's minicamp or training camp.
The Browns and Mayfield both agreed that it would be better if he didn't attend the ongoing minicamp. However, showing up would certainly make things awkward, potentially leaving Cleveland with no other option but to move him to avoid further negative press.
Mayfield seems to be healing nicely from last year's torn labrum and shouldn't have a hard time finding a suitor if the Browns become more open to potential returns. Considering Deshaun Watson's ongoing legal battle is already a distraction, it'd be best to move on from Mayfield sooner than later.
The 27-year-old gunslinger has overcome a lot in Cleveland and has been stepping into his own over the last two seasons. He's made 565 completions on 913 attempts in 30 games over that stretch, recording 6,632 passing yards and 44 touchdowns to 20 interceptions.
A change in scenery could help Mayfield build on that trend without the distractions he faced with the Browns. Some of the teams linked to his services this offseason have been the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
