We're now well into the NBA season as February arrives, and the King has moved to the top of the MVP odds at FanDuel Sportsbook. LeBron James has surged from +1100 less than three weeks ago to the new NBA MVP favorite at +350.

Right behind is Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (+440), who has also moved up while recent MVP favorite Luke Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks has fallen back and is now +750, along with Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant.

Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid has made a massive leap lately, and he is No. 3 in this week's update at +550 odds to win NBA MVP.

LeBron scored 46 points on 19-of-26 shooting in a 115-108 win at Cleveland Jan. 25. That got bettors attention and was a big part of his rise up the odds board for NBA MVP. The Los Angeles Lakers (16-6) are battling the Los Angeles Clippers (16-5) atop the Pacific Division.

James and Jokic will go head to head when the Lakers and Nuggets (12-8) square off in Los Angeles on Feb. 4 in a showdown of MVP favorites.
