Luka Doncic Holds Steady Ahead of Giannis Antetokounmpo as Favorite in Latest NBA MVP Odds

The 2020-21 NBA season is only two weeks old, and a few teams are struggling out of the gate, but some NBA superstars are rising above the unorthodox season to rack up impressive numbers.
Two players who are locked in to the race for NBA MVP are Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. These two remain at the top in the latest 2021 NBA MVP odds update.

Doncic is the current favorite at +410, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA MVP odds. Antetokounmpo opened as the favorite, but he now trails Doncic slightly at +550 odds.
Doncic edged ahead of the Bucks star right before the preseason began and has continued to stake his early claim to begin this season. The Mavs forward is posting 25.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game. Antetokounmpo, who is coming off of two straight MVP wins, is currently averaging 26.3 PPG, 11.3 RPG and 5.6 APG.
Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant, after shooting up in the MVP odds recently, holds steady at +700, while Stephen Curry (+950) and Anthony Davis (+1300) complete the top five.
