FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA
Russell Westbrook Fantasy
Target Russell Westbrook, PG, Washington Wizards ($10,100): Russell Westbrook was on a tear heading into the All-Star break, averaging 46.3 FanDuel fantasy points over his last four games. He picked up right where he left off on Thursday, going for 20 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds in his first game back in action. With the rust shaken off, Westbrook now heads into a matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. Defensive stalwart Ben Simmons is out for Friday's contest, and Joel Embiid is suiting up in his first game since the break, so the 76ers' defense is ripe for attack. Plus, Bradley Beal may miss the contest, setting up Westbrook to carry even more offensive responsibility, which bodes well for his production tonight.
Collin Sexton Fantasy
Target Collin Sexton, SG, Cleveland Cavaliers ($7,800): Collin Sexton is another player riding off of a high before the break. Sexton averaged a whopping 33.0 points, 7.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game over his last three contests before All-Star festivities, all of which blow his season averages out of the water. Not only does the Cleveland Cavaliers guard get a great matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, who are allowing the fourth-most opponent PPG (116.4) this season, but his team will be without Kevin Love and possibly backcourt mate Darius Garland as well. With Sexton possibly taking on a larger scoring load on Friday against a defense prone to giving up buckets, he could be a steal at his salary.
Kelly Olynyk Fantasy
Target Kelly Olynyk, C, Miami Heat ($4,500): A value pick tonight, Miami Heat big man Kelly Olynyk offers a ton of upside. Olynyk notched 40.5 fantasy points in his last game before the break and had another strong showing with 38.4 fantasy points on Thursday. Both of those contests came with Bam Adebayo sidelined, and he's set to miss Friday's matchup with the Chicago Bulls as well. Chicago is surrendering 115.5 PPG (sixth most in the league) and just gave up 127 points last night to the 76ers without their two stars, so Olynyk is set up to continue his recent stretch of strong play.
Zach LaVine Fantasy
Avoid Zach LaVine, SG, Chicago Bulls ($9,400): Turnovers continue to be a problem and cut into Zach LaVine's production. He has at least 4 TOs in each of his last five games, including a 7-turnover outing. His performances have been up-and-down as of late, with LaVine failing to reach 42.4 fantasy points (his season average) in four of those last five contests as well. As tonight's second-most expensive SG despite his recent performances, it's best to avoid LaVine until he gets out of his funk.
Jarrett Allen Fantasy
Avoid Jarrett Allen, C, Cleveland Cavaliers ($8,00): Jarrett Allen is another player struggling to match his season efforts. Allen's top fantasy performance in his last three games was 30.7 points, which is frustrating since he should be thriving as the Cavaliers' main frontcourt option with Andre Drummond sitting. If you're looking for a bounce-back game from Allen, don't expect it to come tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pels are allowing the fewest opponent rebounds per game (48.1), and without his RPG (9.9), Allen is mostly fantasy irrelevant. Allen carries a decent price tag on Friday, but there are value options like Olynyk if you're looking for help at C.
