Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Monday, 4/5, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA
Karl-Anthony Towns Fantasy
Target Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves ($11,000): Karl-Anthony Towns has been scorching hot recently, averaging 58.3 FanDuel points per outing over his last six appearances. Now facing the porous Sacramento Kings defense, there's no reason to expect he'll slow down. Sacramento is the second-worst scoring defense in the NBA and also plays at a top-12 pace, so Towns should have plenty of opportunities tonight.
Pascal Siakam Fantasy
Target Pascal Siakam, PF, Toronto Raptors ($8,700): Pascal Siakam is coming off a fantastic outing, having dropped 57.9 FanDuel points against the Golden State Warriors. He draws a mouth-watering matchup against the Washington Wizards tonight, so he could be in for a similar showing. Washington is the only defense that's been worse than Sacramento, and the Wizards play at the fastest pace in the NBA. That's a recipe for fantasy success.
Gary Trent Jr. Fantasy
Target Gary Trent Jr., SG, Toronto Raptors ($5,400): Keeping it in the same game, Gary Trent Jr. is another player to target tonight. Trent is averaging 32.7 minutes per game since being traded to the Toronto Raptors, and he's averaging 23.3 PPG over his last three appearances. That has translated to 37.4 FanDuel PPG during that stretch, which is a significant improvement upon his season average (22.71). Facing that same Wizards' defense, look for Trent to keep rolling tonight.
Kristaps Porzingis Fantasy
Avoid Kristaps Porzingis, PF, Dallas Mavericks ($8,800): Kristaps Porzingis has turned things around after a slow start to the season, but he's not a great target tonight. For one, he's questionable with a wrist injury and wasn't able to suit up in Dallas' most recent game due to load management. But even if he does play, a matchup with Rudy Gobert's Utah Jazz does not bode well for him. The Jazz are a top-three scoring defense and play at a below-average pace. All of that could lead to a drop in production for Porzingis tonight, assuming the 7-footer even plays.
Christian Wood Fantasy
Avoid Christian Wood, PF, Houston Rockets ($8,000): Christian Wood hasn't really been the same since his extraordinary start to the season, and he doesn't look like a great value tonight. His Houston Rockets are whopping 14.5-point underdogs to the Phoenix Suns tonight. That suggests Houston could be in for a blowout, which could limit his playing time tonight. Besides, Phoenix plays at a bottom-five pace and ranks as a top-five scoring defense. Wood is unlikely to live up to his price tag tonight.
