NBA DFS 11/6/2021
Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Saturday, 11/6, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 11/6
Russell Westbrook Fantasy
Target Russell Westbrook, PG, Los Angeles Lakers ($9,600): Russell Westbrook didn't light things up against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, but most of the Lakers fell flat in that loss. Westbrook has an intriguing matchup and will run the show without LeBron James in the lineup. Westbrook churns FanDuel DFS points when he's running the Lakers offense, exploding for 63 and 49.3 points in LeBron's previous two missed outings. The veteran triple-double machines averages 20.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game this year and is worth the price tag.
Jayson Tatum Fantasy
Target Jayson Tatum, SF, Boston Celtics ($9,500): Jayson Tatum has recorded one game without Jaylen Brown in the Boston Celtics lineup this season, and he absolutely cashed in from a fantasy perspective. That came against the Houston Rockets on Oct. 24 when Tatum went for 49.8 DFS points thanks to a 31 point, 9 rebound, 2 assist effort. That's not even Tatum's best fantasy performance of the season. He's recorded games with 62.4 and 54.5 DFS points. We must confirm the stars in our lineup with Saturday's small five-game NBA slate.
Nikola Vucevic Fantasy
Target Nikola Vucevic, C, Chicago Bulls ($8,100): Nikola Vucevic has taken on a new role with the Chicago Bulls this season. He's not the primary scorer but an important piece in running the offense, evidenced by his career-high 4.5 assists per game. The Philadelphia 76ers rank just middle of the pack in defensive net rating (14th) and don't scare us enough to stay away from Vucevic. He averages close to 42 FanDuel DFS points against Philadelphia in 28 career games and that trend continues on Saturday.
Kristaps Porzingis Fantasy
Avoid Kristaps Porzingis, PF/C, Dallas Mavericks ($7,000): Kristaps Porzingis hasn't played since Oct. 26 and is listed as questionable against the Celtics. We're staying away from the Mavericks big man even if he does suit up tonight. Porzingis averages just 27.2 FanDuel DFS points this season and although the sample size of 3 games is small, this is a wait and see situation. Boston isn't a favorable defensive matchup. The Celtics rank 12th in defensive net rating and in the bottom third of league pace. Porzingis should return to his normal self eventually, but not against Boston.
Damian Lillard Fantasy
Avoid Damian Lillard, PG, Portland Trail Blazers ($8,600): It's hard to believe, but fantasy basketball managers want to stay away from Damian Lillard tonight. Lillard continues to trail CJ McCollum in his Trail Blazers usage rate and is shooting a career-low 33.7% from the field. He's not going to come out with a total flop of a performance, but there's better options at point guard for this price range. That includes Russell Westbrook as the other point guard in this matchup.
