The Cleveland Browns picked up Amari Cooper via trade, sending a 2022 fifth- and sixth-round pick to the Dallas Cowboys. But Cooper's arrival in Cleveland could spell the end of Jarvis Landry's stint with the team.
Cleveland has reportedly given Landry the permission to seek a trade this offseason. This development makes sense for both sides, as Landry seems like he wants out, and his departure would save more than $14 million in cap space.
Here are the three most likely trade destinations for the 29-year-old wideout this offseason.
Jarvis Landry Trade 2022
3. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars need to go out and get Trevor Lawrence some help. Adding Jarvis Landry would be a great place to start. He'd be an incredible safety blanket for the second-year QB, as Landry was averaging 92.0 receptions per season prior to his injury-riddled 2021 campaign. Landry is the type of chain-moving weapon Jacksonville needs to add.
2. Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts have more cap space than anyone else in the league. They have to spend it somewhere, and wide receiver is probably their biggest needs outside of quarterback. Landry would be a nice complement to Michael Pittman Jr. Adding Landry and a deep threat to this WR room and suddenly this would be a pretty complete unit.
1. Tennessee Titans
Financially, this move could be a little trickier. But the Tennessee Titans can clear a ton of cap space by moving on from guys like Taylor Lewan and Zach Cunningham this offseason. And Landry would be the ideal WR3 for Tennessee. He'd excel on the shorter or intermediate routes while A.J. Brown and Julio Jones dominate downfield. Adding Landry would give this team one of the most dangerous WR trios in the league.
