Already dealing with a major injury to his thumb, Aaron Rodgers took another beating in Green Bay's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The reigning MVP was forced from the game in the third quarter with a rib injury and did not return.
On Wednesday, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur provided an important update on his star QB's practice plans ahead of their Week 13 clash against the Chicago Bears.
Aaron Rodgers Injury Update
According to team insider Kassidy Hill, LaFleur "anticipates Aaron Rodgers to practice this week, but not [Wednesday]."
This is on the heels of both LaFleur and Rodgers suggesting he'll play in Week 13 despite the latest ailment. Either way, this at least offers an explanation for Rodgers' absence from practice and is a bit of a relief for Green Bay fans.
Considering the severity of Rodgers' injury, Packers fans will still want to pay close attention to the injury report before Sunday's kickoff. Green Bay is considered a 5.5-point road favorite per the NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
