Lions Boost Wide Receiver Depth With Latest Free-Agent Signing

The Detroit Lions are hurting up and down their roster. Wide receiver is a major weak spot at the moment, as Tyrell Williams and Quintez Cephus are both on the Injured Reserve list.
Detroit's latest free-agent signing could help give this receiving corps a boost.

Geronimo Alison News
The Lions have promoted Geronimo Allison from the practice squad and signed him to the active roster. The former Green Bay Packers receiver has caught on in Detroit and appears to have a shot at carving out a real role.
Allison recorded 89 receptions for 1,045 yards and 6 touchdowns with the Packers, demonstrating an ability to stretch the field (11.7 yards per catch). The fifth-year pro suited up for the Lions on Sunday, and it seems the staff saw enough from him to make his promotion official.
Allison joins a WR room that features Kalif Raymond and rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown as the top two wideouts.
Detroit heads into its Week 7 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams as 15.5-point underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
