3 Most Likely Teams to Draft Patrick Surtain II

2021 NFL Draft is quickly approaching at the end of April and with a handful of cornerback-needy teams, Patrick Surtain out of Alabama will be a sought-after name in the first round.
Expected to be the first cornerback off the board in most mock drafts, let's take a look at three most likely teams to draft Patrick Surtain.
3. Arizona Cardinals (No. 16)
It would be a bit of a shock if Surtain fell to No. 16, but crazier things have happened in the NFL Draft. Looking for a true lockdown corner to replace the departed Patrick Peterson, Arizona is in dire need of secondary help. If the Alabama star was available at this point, it would be nearly impossible to imagine Arizona passing on him.
2. Carolina Panthers (No. 8)
Carolina's trade for Sam Darnold last week gives them the ability to take the bets player available at No. 8, and that very well might be Surtain. Despite concentrating on defense in last year's draft, that could be the move in Round 1 again. Carolina ranked No. 17 in passing yards allowed per game in 2020 and while that's not terrible, they could certainly use a player of Surtain's caliber at cornerback, especially to go along with the same timeline as the rest of their younger defense.
1. Dallas Cowboys (No. 10)
The Dallas Cowboys need to fix their defense. With one of the most talented offenses in the league already, being able to stop the opposing offenses is paramount for the Cowboys in 2021. Surtain could very well be the first defensive player off the board, and Dallas should jump at that chance to take him if he falls to them. Surrendering the tenth-most yards in the NFL last season, Surtain would help create a young and impressive cornerback duo with Trevon Diggs.
