The Tennessee Titans are betting big on their trade for Julio Jones to pay off. He lands in Tennessee at 32 years old and coming off of an injury-plagued season, yet his potential alongside A.J. Brown is undeniable.

Jones has missed practice since Tuesday with a leg injury, but it's not expected to be a serious issue.

Julio Jones Injury Update

NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Jones' leg ailment is "nothing major," so uneasy fans can breathe a slight sigh of relief. Tennessee will manage Jones' practice reps all year, like the Atlanta Falcons did, in order to get the most out their star receiver.

Jones' availability this season will be key to the Titans' Super Bowl hopes. With a career average of nearly 85 receptions per year, Jones provides a major weapon for quarterback Ryan Tannehill outside of Brown. He's also recorded over 1,100 yards in seven of his 10 seasons, leading the league in that category twice.

The attention Jones commands when on the field will be a huge factor in opening up looks for Tennessee's receiving corps. Hopefully he can put this leg injury behind him and dominate at 100% during the 2021-22 campaign.

The Titans are current favorites to win the AFC South at -135 odds, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
