Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster took his first dip into free agency last offseason, but a cool market for wideouts led him to re-sign with the team on a one-year deal. Now Smith-Schuster will head into free agency once again, this time coming off of a shoulder injury that sidelined him for the majority of the 2021 campaign.

The fifth-year pro has revealed his plans as prepares to hit the open market for the second straight offseason.

It sounds like the wideout has no desire to leave Pittsburgh anytime soon. He said it would be a "blessing" if he can re-sign with the Steelers and "stay for another four years."

"I love the coaches and my teammates, players, everyone from the media side to the training room. It's been unbelievable. My career here has been amazing. It would be nice to stay here and play with these guys and the same coaches. It would be nice to stay for another four years."

It's touching to hear how much the pass-catcher has connected with the city and organization. He passed on more money from other teams last offseason to return to Pittsburgh, so hopefully that gesture will make the Steelers receptive to a long-term deal this spring.

Smith-Schuster finished with 15 receptions and 129 yards during his injury-plagued 2021 season. Prior to that, he recorded 308 receptions, 3,729 yards and 26 TDs over his first four years as a Steeler.

Pittsburgh has plenty of questions to solve this offseason, and the decision between a full rebuild or a simple retool could impact how it approaches Smith-Schuster's free agency.
