Updated (Sunday, Dec. 13, 9:55 a.m. EST): Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is now officially expected to play in Week 14. With the injury concerns and tough matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, Jacobs should be view as a low-end RB1 or high-end RB2 on Sunday.
Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs was missed by his team and fantasy managers in Week 13 when he was unable to suit up due to a knee injury. However, it appears Jacobs is on the right track to play in Week 14, which is great news for his fantasy outlook.
Josh Jacobs Fantasy Outlook
Jacobs has been a key part of the Raiders' success this season, averaging 21.8 opportunities (18.7 rushes plus 3.1 targets) and 87.0 yards from scrimmage per game. The running back ranks fourth in rushing attempts (206) and is tied for sixth in touchdowns on the ground (9) this year.
Jacobs has been a workhorse and currently stands as RB8 in PPR fantasy leagues with only 11 games under his belt. While the RB has his peaks and valleys, he's still at a solid average of 15.7 fantasy points per game, which makes him a lineup lock.
If all goes well before Sunday, he'll face a stingy Indianapolis Colts defense in Week 14 that is allowing a meager 22.28 fantasy points per game (11th-fewest in the league) to RBs this season. The Colts also rank No. 11 in Football Outsiders' rush DVOA metric, but fantasy managers shouldn't have any worries about rolling with Jacobs this week as his workload is among the tops in the league.
