Jordan Walker Breaks Cardinals Record With Hot Start to Season

It's safe to say Jordan Walker's start to his St. Louis Cardinals career has gone even better than expected. The young stud has looked right at home in the majors, providing a boost to the Cardinals' lineup from the jump.
Walker's been so good at the plate, in fact, he's already set a franchise record.
Jordan Walker sets a #stlcards rookie (any age!) record and passes Ted Williams' streak for a 20-year-old with a hit in his 10th consecutive game to start his career.

Walker's streak by a player 20 or younger is the longest to start a career since 1912 (Eddie Murphy).#MLB
Walker notched a hit in his 10th consecutive game to begin his career on Monday. That mark has officially set the Cardinals' record for a rookie of any age, which is an incredible feat for the 20-year-old.
There were plenty of high expectations for the former No. 21 overall pick, but he's showing why he was such a high selection. The rightfielder has recorded 2 home runs and 8 RBIs in his first 10 games while slashing .342/.390/.533.
Walker will look to extend his record on Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies. Kyle Freeland is set to be on the mound for Colorado. FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB odds think it's overwhelmingly likely Walker records at least one hit (-320).
