San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo isn't out of the clear after an offseason of being in the spotlight. His future in the Bay features a ton of questions, and he'll be looking over his shoulder all season with top pick Trey Lance waiting in the wings.

Garoppolo could turn to a QB who's handled a similar situation for guidance as he thinks about the long term.

The current 49ers signal-caller has thought about reaching out to Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers for any help while he weighs his future. Rodgers has a wealth of knowledge to impart, both as one of the top talents at his position and as someone who isn't a stranger to playing in tricky situations.

Rodgers' rift with the Packers was the story of the summer, but the two sides eventually came to an agreement both sides are happy with. It could be beneficial for Garoppolo to hear about Rodgers' experience as he and the 49ers will have to work out what's in the cards for both parties after the season.

In the present, these teams and their QBs will square off in Week 3. The 49ers are 3.5-point favorites entering that matchup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
