Week 7 was rough for the New York Jets. Not only were they thumped 54-13 by the New England Patriots, but rookie quarterback Zach Wilson exited the game with a knee injury and didn't return. The latest update is bad news for the Jets.

Wilson underwent an MRI after the game, revealing that he has a sprained PCL, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter. The second overall pick is expected to miss the next two to four weeks of action.

Knee injuries are always scary, so it's encouraging that Wilson's issue isn't season-ending. Still, it's never good seeing a starting QB missing any amount of time.

It's been an up-and-down year for Wilson. While he's looked decent at times, playing for a team like the Jets tends to bring struggles. He's completed just 57.5% of his passes for 1,168 yards, 4 touchdowns and an NFL-leading 9 interceptions. Hopefully, some time on the sidelines helps him get back on track.

Meanwhile, Mike White will take over as the Jets No. 1 QB. The 26-year-old's Sunday relief appearance was his NFL debut. White finished the game with a 62.5% completion rating for 202 yards and a TD to 2 INTs.

The Jets are in for an uphill battle when they face the surging Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8. New York is currently listed as the 9.5-point underdog, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
