With an 0-5 record and a reputation building as one of the worst teams in the NFL, the New York Jets are on their way to another top five draft pick, but that's not Jamison Crowder's fault. The Jets' wide receiver is the lone bright spot on an offense that is lacking playmakers all over the field.

Dealing with a hamstring injury as well as two different starting quarterbacks, Crowder has performed well in each game he has been able to play in this season. In fact, he became just the third Jets wide receiver in 52 years to surpass 100 receiving yards in three straight games.

Operating out of the slot position most of the time, Crowder has seen double-digit targets and caught at least 7 passes in each of his three games so far. He has 335 receiving yards on the season and has also scored 2 touchdowns. For a team sorely lacking offensive talent, he has provided a much-needed spark.

As can be seen from his yardage totals, Crowder isn't just on the receiving end of a lot of quarterback dump-offs or short-yardage catches. He is making big plays down the field, averaging a career-high 10.2 yards per target and has had a catch of 35+ yards in each of his three games this season.

The Jets rank last in the league in points scored per game (15.0), giving fans little reason for hope. However, the play of Crowder has allowed the Jets offense to get a taste of what it could be like if they are able to surround young quarterback Sam Darnold with some weapons.

Crowder and the Jets will try to get their first win of the season as they take on the Maimi Dolphins in Week 6 NFL action. The Dolphins are 8-point favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
