James Robinson Injury Update Crushes Week 16 Fantasy Outlook

Jacksonville Jaguars fans, as well as fantasy football managers, will not be glad to hear that starting running back James Robinson was ruled out for the team's Week 16 matchup against the Chicago Bears. He has been dealing with an ankle injury all week and will not be able to suit up.

James Robinson Fantasy Outlook

This obviously crushes any fantasy value Robinson had this week. This is especially tough given it is the fantasy football championship week in most leagues. Robinson is in the midst of a great rookie year as ranks third in the NFL with 1,070 rushing yards and has surpassed 100 rushing yards in a game four times this season.

He has also become the workhorse back for the Jaguars as he averaged 17.1 carries per game this season. Now, the Jaguars will need some other players to step up and take over those touches.

Dare Ogunbowale/Devine Ozigbo Fantasy Outlook

Veteran journeyman Dare Ogunbowale and second-year player Devine Ozigbo are the two players slated to see more opportunities given Robinson's absence this week. Ogunbowale did see snaps near the end of last week's game after Robinson initially got hurt, but no one really knows how the Jaguars are going to split up the touches.

It would be hard to trust either of these players in fantasy football right now. Ogunbowale has just 7 touches on the season for 49 total yards, while Ozigbo hasn't received a single carry. However, he has caught all 8 of his targets this season for 39 yards.
