Jalen Reagor Teases New Role for 2021 Season
The 2020 NFL Draft was full of talent at wide receiver, and Philadelphia Eagles pick Jalen Reagor was among the top prospects at his position. However, Reagor's first-year numbers didn't live up to those of his counterparts, and the selection has been lamented given the receivers taken after him.
But a new role could be in store for Reagor in 2021 to help unlock his potential.
The wideout says he'll play more in the slot for the Eagles this season. While Greg Ward saw much of his usage there in 2020, lining Reagor up in the slot more often could help set the speedster loose.
The former TCU receiver suited up in 11 games for Philadelphia in 2020, recording 31 receptions for 396 yards and 1 TD. He showed his deep threat potential with 12.8 yards per reception.
Reagor stepping up in 2021 would be huge for Jalen Hurts in his first full season as starter. The second-year wideout should see plenty of opportunities to prove his high-draft spot given he's one of the few true WR weapons currently on the roster.
