The 2020 MLB season is finally here, and it opens up with just two games on Thursday night.
Opening Day will be on Friday for most teams, and that includes the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals.

The betting odds on FanDuel Sportsbook have Cleveland as a huge -215 favorite, while Kansas City is a +184 underdog.

The Indians aren't projected to be the class of the AL Central in 2020, but they do have reasonable +260 odds to win the division. The Royals, on the other hand, are massive long shots, at +6500. That puts them ahead of only the Detroit Tigers (+8000).

Danny Duffy is set to take the mound for KC on Friday, and he's coming off a rough 2019 campaign. He finished with a 4.34 ERA on the year, having been shelled for a career-worst 1.45 home runs per nine innings.

On the other side, 2019 breakout Shane Bieber will take the mound for Cleveland after dazzling with a 3.28 ERA across 34 games last year.

With a pitching matchup like that, it's not hard to see why Cleveland is so heavily favored.
