Hawks News: Atlanta Gets Good Update on Clint Capela Injury

The Eastern Continues Finals between the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks could come down to which players are healthy enough to play. Trae Young is nursing an ankle injury from Game 3, Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a hyperextended knee in Game 4, and Clint Capela may have picked up an eye injury in that same contest after taking an elbow to the face.
Capela's playing status isn't certain, though there's optimism regarding him playing in Game 5.
McMillan also said he hadn’t met with the trainers yet, & had no update on Trae Young or Clint Capela. McMillan said last night Young will likely be a game-time decision for Game 5, while sources told ESPN there’s optimism about Capela’s status. He will be evaluated again today. https://t.co/lYFS08fLb4

Clint Capela Injury Update
Capela suffered the elbow blow during the fourth quarter with the Hawks up big over Milwaukee, which was questionable to have the big man out there considering the game was basically over. His playing status being in jeopardy is certainly concerning heading into a pivotal Game 5.
The Swedish big man has been an important part of the Hawks' current postseason run. He's averaging 10.1 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks across 16 games so far.
Injuries will shape Thursday night's clash. Milwaukee may be without their two-time MVP, but Atlanta potentially having both Young and Capela sidelined would be a big blow to their NBA Finals hopes. The Bucks are currently 2-point favorites ahead of Game 5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
