The NFL world gears up for the official start of the 2021 season with training camps kicking off across the league. However, some players won't be participating due to lingering injures.

It should come as no surprise, but New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley will officially begin training camp on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list. He's joined on the list by tight end Kyle Rudolph as well as Jonotthan Harrison, Matt Peart, Oshane Ximines and Aaron Robinson.

Saquon Barkley Injury Update

Barkely continues to rehab from a devastating ACL injury suffered in Week 2 of the 2020 season. While the news may be a bit disappointing for Giants fans, they shouldn't be overly concerned. Barkley and his New York franchise have been very upfront about the length of his rehabilitation.

There's no doubt that New York is taking an extremely cautious approach with their franchise running back. After all, in just two full NFL seasons, the third-year back has rushed for two 1K-yard seasons and emerged as a dual threat out of the backfield.

New York owns +230 odds to make the playoffs and +6500 odds to win the Super Bowl, according to the latest NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
