Even though the 2020-21 college football season didn't exactly go as planned with the Bulldogs losing the SEC East crown to Florida, there are still a lot of positive updates trending in the right direction for Georgia's bounce-back future.

As Kirby Smart has proven to be one of the best recruiters in the nation year in and year out ever since taking over the reins in Athens as Georgia's head coach, that reputation has continued to build with some big news this week.

Malaki Starks Commitment Georgia

Smart and his Bulldogs landed a huge commitment from Malaki Starks, who is rated as a 5-Star athlete recruit for the Class of 2022 by 247Sports.com. Georgia will be keeping yet another major recruit in-state, as Starks hails from Jefferson, Georgia.

Starks played both sides of the ball in high school, including quarterback, but he has already alluded to the likelihood that he will not be playing under center for the Bulldogs in college. Starks comes to Athens ranked as No. 4 overall athlete recruit, No. 4 overall recruit out of The Peach State and the No. 29 recruit in the entire country.

While his exact position will be determined after he arrives on campus, there's no doubting the kind of impact this talent will have wherever he lines up for Georgia in the future.
