After making the Super Bowl in 2019 and preparing to make another run in the 2020 NFL season, it's clear that this San Francisco 49ers team has something special going on.

They're loaded with talent, of course, but it takes more than talent to be a championship contender, and the 49ers also have the kind of chemistry you want to see from an elite team. That was on display this weekend when George Kittle took to the Instagram comments section to stick up for teammate Dante Pettis.

It's no secret that the 49ers are likely to select a wide receiver with the 13th-overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, but calling out Pettis like this is just uncalled for. The 24-year-old wideout had simply posted a fun video of himself doing a popular Tik Tok dance.

NFL players don't need to be constantly showing off how hard they're working out on social media, especially during an incredibly difficult time in the world. It's great to see them having fun and giving fans a reason to smile.

Pettis has been a disappointing second-round pick for the 49ers, with just 38 receptions and 576 yards through his first two NFL seasons, but that doesn't mean he doesn't bring value to the team.

It's great to see a high-profile teammate like Kittle standing up for Pettis. This kind of solidarity from the top to the bottom of the roster should have 49ers fans very excited about the team's prospects for success in the 2020 season and beyond.

On FanDuel Sportsbook, the 49ers are the biggest favorites (+480) to win the NFC this year.
