With a loaded field of the world's best players, let's take a look at three players to watch out for when putting together your fantasy team this week.
Webb Simpson missed the cut at Memorial in his last event, but prior to that he finished T-8 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic and won the RBC Heritage. Simpson is an excellent ball striker, and it should bring a huge benefit to him on this course. He's No. 11 on tour in SG (strokes gained): Approach The Green and No. 14 in SG: Tee-To-Green. He also ranks 14th in green in regulation (GIR). IF Simpson can get back to his normal self, his strengths play right into being a contender on this course.
McIlroy, much like Simpson ranks highly in stats that should point to success on this course. He is No. 15 on tour in SG: Approach The Green and No. 3 in SG: Tee-To-Green. McIlroy already has six top-10 finishes on tour this season, including a win at another WGC event. He currently leads the tour in holes per eagles and overall scoring average. He even ranks No. 5 in SG: total. While his monster driver might not be as crucial this week, he's proven to be great in areas that are crucial at TPC Southwind.
Xander Schauffele has been really solid since golf's restart. He has placed in the top-20 in four of his five starts in that time range. And like everyone on this list, has performed well in areas that have pointed to success here. He's No. 16 on tour in SG: Approach The Green, No. 10 in SG: Tee-To-Green and No. 9 in SG: Total. Talent has never been a question for Schauffele, it's just about putting it all together, and this could be just the spot for him to do that.
