Fantasy Football ADP Duel: Would You Rather Draft Aaron Rodgers or Andrew Luck for 2019 Season

Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers are two of the league's top signal-callers and surefire top-10 fantasy quarterbacks for the 2019 season. However, deciding between the two players could prove quite difficult.

As things currently stand, Luck (QB2) has a pretty solid edge over Rodgers (QB4), according to FantasyPros' average draft position (ADP) rankings. However, the latter may actually be the better fantasy value.

Luck had a fantastic bounce-back campaign in 2018, completing a career-high 67.3 percent of his passes for 4,593 yards passing and 39 touchdowns to 15 interceptions. However, there's one major caveat to those stats that could point to a regression in 2019.

Luck threw a touchdown on 6.1 percent of his passing attempts last season, and touchdowns accounted for 44.0 percent of his fantasy points in 2018. While he has a more talented supporting cast to work with this upcoming season, maintaining that kind of scoring rate is unlikely.

Rodgers, meanwhile, had a solid season in 2018 despite playing almost all of it with an injured knee, completing 62.3 percent of his passes for 4,442 yards passing and 25 touchdowns to just two interceptions. With a healthy knee, and an offensive-minded head coach in Matt LaFleur, Rodgers could improve upon those numbers in 2019.

You likely can't go wrong drafting either quarterback, but when choosing between the two, Rodgers, who is currently going a few picks after Luck, could provide the better value.
